You become a member of a group with a join code. You get it from a member of the group, by email or as a QR code.
With a code
- On the Groups tab, tap Join with a code (or on the start screen, tap I have a join code).
- Enter the 10-digit code, or tap Scan QR code to scan the QR code on a group member's screen.
- Tap Join group.
Don't have an account yet? You create one right away while joining; see Creating an account.
With an invite email
- Already have an account with that email address? The invite also appears as a notification in your Inbox in the app. Tap the notification and choose Join to become a member right away.
- Otherwise: open the link in the email or enter the 10-digit join code under Join with a code. Sign in or create an account, and you are a member straight away.
Please note
- A join code works for at most 30 days, and can be used a limited number of times.
- A code can also be meant only for specific invited email addresses. Then you can only use it with one of those addresses.
- Did you have quotes saved as a guest in this group before? When joining, you can take over your guest profile under Take over an existing guest profile?, so those quotes are linked to your account. See Guests in a group.
- An invalid or expired code can no longer be used. Ask a member of the group for a new one.
