Creating an account

You need an account to use QuoteUs, create groups, join with a join code and save quotes.

How to create an account

1. On the start screen, tap Get started (or I have a join code if you received a code).
2. Enter your email address and tap Email me a login code.
3. Open the email and enter the 6-digit code.
4. Enter your First name and Last name. Other members of your groups see that name.
5. Agree to the terms of service and tap Create account.
6. The app offers to create a passkey straight away. Tap Create a passkey to sign in with Face ID or Touch ID next time.

Passkey or login code

QuoteUs has no passwords. A passkey is the safest and fastest way to sign in, with Face ID or Touch ID. A login code is the fallback: a 6-digit code you get by email. It works for 10 minutes and stops working after 5 wrong attempts.

If your account has a passkey and you sign in on a device with a login code, that session can't change your email address, remove passkeys, end other sessions or delete your account. Create a passkey on that device or sign in with your passkey to do so. See Passkeys and sessions.
