Reporting something

Report a group, quote, comment or member that breaks the terms.

Last updated

QuoteUs has zero tolerance for objectionable content. If you see something that shouldn't be there, report it. You can report a group, a quote, a comment or a member, from within a group you both belong to.

How to report

  1. Open the … menu on the quote, comment or group (or tap the member in Manage group / Group info) and choose Report: for example Report quote, Report group or Report member.
  2. Choose a reason:
    • Harassment or bullying
    • Hate or discrimination
    • Sexual or violent content
    • Private information or someone's rights
    • Spam or something else
  3. Optionally add an explanation (up to 1,000 characters). For Spam or something else it is required.
  4. Tap Send.

You get a confirmation by email. Only QuoteUs sees that you reported this. Don't have an account? Then you can email abuse@quoteus.eu.

What you can't report

  • Yourself, a quote you saved yourself, or a comment you wrote yourself. (You can report a quote where you are the author if someone else saved it.)
  • Anything you can't see.

Limits

You can report the same item once every 24 hours. You can also make at most 10 reports per hour. Have you reported a lot? Try again later.

For what happens next, read What happens after a report.
